Louisiana fullback likes SEC

Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More two-star fullback Kasey Stelly is a solid and steady runner and run blocker. The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder already has racked up offers but is working hard at adding some more – including offers from some SEC level programs.
"I've been hearing mainly from Auburn, Ole Miss and LSU," Stelly, who is ranked as a 5.3 two-star prospect, said. "Then I have offers from Tulane and UL Lafayette.

"Tulane is definitely up there because they're my top team that has offered. Then Auburn, Ole Miss and LSU are all up there. I think if they see something from me early in the season then one of them might come through with an offer."
Stelly said of the SEC schools that have been showing him interest, Auburn has really caught his eye.
"I went to a bunch of camps this summer. I went to Southern Miss, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn and Tulane," he said. "I'd have to say Auburn impressed me the most, because I got there early and was able to talk to coach Knox. He talked to me a lot, and then I got to talk to the running backs coach and we talked about the situation. They just want to see something out of me those first couple weeks.
"One of the reasons I really like Auburn and Ole Miss is because I've just always liked SEC schools. If Auburn or Ole Miss offers they will probably be on top for me."
Stelly said his time timetable for a decision likely will be at the end of the season.
"The season starts next week, so I'm probably going to just concentrate on the season," he said. "It will probably be towards the end of the season. I'm definitely going to officially visit Tulane. Then probably Auburn and Ole Miss."
Stelly is excited about the start of his senior season.
"We have all played together since freshman year, so we know each other real well," Stelly said. "Our offense is really starting to come around. We're going to be a contender."
