Louisiana defender loves Florida

One of the best defensive players in the South is Reserve (La.) East St. John’s Kirston Pittman. The 6-foot-3 and 220 pound defensive end/linebacker, who has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.6 seconds, has the state of Florida on his mind.
“I love everything about Florida,” Pittman said. “I love the weather and the football played down there. My top five schools are Texas, Florida, Florida State, Miami, and Louisiana State. Right now I’m open to all of those schools though.”

Pittman made 40 tackles and 12 sacks as a junior. He missed several games due to a fractured thumb.
What are his goals for his senior campaign?
“My goals for the fall are to finish English IV and to win a state championship,” Pittman said.
Pittman’s brother Thomas signed with Florida Gators a couple of seasons ago, and he’s now a free agent with the Cleveland Browns.
