Louisiana DB Tywan Francis has a Top 3, plans for summer visits

The Latest: Class of 2018 Louisiana defensive back Tywan Francis has seen his offer list grow to double digits in recent months, with several FBS programs holding him in high regard. But after getting a chance to go over his options, Francis has a list of three favorites, Troy, Arkansas State and Kent State. Rivals.com recently caught up with Francis to talk favorites as well as his plans for the summer.

In His Words: “ It's a tie between three schools right now. Troy, Arkansas State and Kent State''

Troy: “They say I'm their No. 1 defensive back on their board and they think I'm very superior to t he ones they have coming in. I haven't been up there but I plan on taking a trip soon.”

Arkansas State: They told me the same thing. They have a lot of defensive backs leaving so the opportunity is going to be there for me to come in and compete as a true freshman. I heard they win a lot of conference games and they have a lot of rings. They told me we both like rings so why not go get them together? I haven't visited there either yet but that’s something I’m planning on doing soon.”

Kent State: “Their receiver coach reached out to me and asked me how I've been and how I've been doing. They want to make sure I'm grinding and getting better off the field and staying on top of my grades and stuff like that too. That's a long trip and they came down to see me in the spring but they want me to come back up that. I will but it will probably for an official visit.”

On his visit plans: “I have a lot of trips I want to make this summer I just have to figure out my schedule.”

Rivals Reaction: Francis is still working on his schedule but the fact that he’s focused on three programs should help him when it comes time to decide which trips to take where. As a multi-time state champion he’s a proven winner and should bring some valuable intangibles with him to whichever program he chooses.
