Louisiana DB holds several offers

It doesn't look like much as changed at River Ridge (La.) John Curtis High School with the next crop of prospects holding early scholarship offers.
After several top prospects signed with Division I schools last year, including the nation's top running back Joe McKnight, the talent seems to be continuing. One of those prospect that has already ushered in early offers is cornerback Robby Green.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder says that he has several offers already in hand.
"Right now, I'm sitting on six offers," Green said. "So far, I have LSU, Clemson, Alabama, Tulane, Ole Miss, and Arizona State. I'm really just sitting back and taking it slow. I'm trying to not buckle down and work on the recruiting process until after this upcoming season."
Though Green says he'll more than likely push back his decision to very late in the year, he has managed to get out and about on some unofficial visits. The talented Louisiana defensive back took in the LSU junior day and the Auburn spring game.
"Those were great," Green said about his SEC unofficial visits. "LSU, they have a great atmosphere and the coaches were great. Auburn, I went to their spring game, and that was pretty cool. It was something different. The fans seem to really love Auburn."
Next up, Green will be heading to Alabama with his teammate P.J. Smith this Thursday.
"Alabama offered me a while ago and I'm real familiar with coach Burton Burns since he was at Clemson," Green said. "I've always had a good relationship with him. With Nick Saban there now too, I hear he's great with DB's."
Green, a team-oriented player, says that he's focusing on track in the off-season along with conditioning in preparation for the spring.
"We're going to come together after spring break and start practicing," Green said. "We're going to be pretty strong this year. There are a few things we need to fix, but we're going to start working on that soon."
