Louisiana DB getting looks

Baton Rouge (La.) Redemptorist safety Reggie Weams has multiple scholarship offers for football and is getting more interest. He also is picking up some interest for track.
"As of right now, we still have the same schools," Weams said. "I heard that a couple of other schools might still be interested. Tennessee is supposed to come down and watch a game.

"UCF has been on me hard and then New Mexico State."
The Golden Knights and Aggies currently stand out to Weams.
"I would say Central Florida (stands out) as of right now," he said. "Central Florida and New Mexico State are the two I am still debating on, but I still don't know what other colleges are out there or who is going to offer."
Weams also has been getting letters in the mail from collegiate track programs. The 6-foot, 190-pounder is an outstanding hurdler.
"I'm starting to pick up some interest for track," he said. "Ole Miss and Georgetown have sent letters. They are just now coming in."
Despite the interest for track, Weams is focused on pursuing a career on the gridiron.
"As of right now, I'm looking to play football that's what my main thing is," he said. "As of right now, it's football."
Weams has been to one college football game this fall.
"I went to Southern University," he said. "I plan on going to some more. I haven't thought about which schools. I'm going to talk to my coach this week about setting up some."
His football season is going well.
"Right now, I have three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown)," he said. "I also ran a kickoff return back last Friday and caught one touchdown in the end zone."
