Louisiana corner gets trio of offers

Clinton (La.) cornerback prospect Prentiss Waggner recently picked up three additional scholarship offers, including one from a Southeastern Conference power, and is getting attention from plenty of other schools.
The 6-foot-2, 178-pounder, who stood out at the Athens NIKE Camp in April, talked about his new offers in an exclusive interview with Rivals.com.

"I picked up some new offers from Southern Mississippi, Auburn and Louisiana Tech," he said. "I'm interested in all of them. I don't know much about them except Auburn."
Waggner talked about his interest in AU.
"I like how they've got a good defense," he said. "They have one of the top defenses in the SEC. (Tigers assistant) Will Muschamp came by the school to check on me and he told my coach that they liked my size. They said with how I play, I could play in the SEC."
The Golden Eagles, Tigers and Bulldogs join Minnesota in offering Waggner, who had 16 interceptions during his junior year.
LSU also continues to show interest in the in-state talent, though they have yet to offer.
"I talk to LSU every now and then," he said.
This summer, Waggner plans to camp at LSU, Florida and Auburn.
