Louisiana CB working on speed

Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana, but it's also quickly become the capital for high-quality Division I football players in the South. Sure the area might not produce as many prospects as New Orleans, but pound for pound the city produces great players every year and one of them is 5-foot-10, 173-pound cornerback Anthony Wells of Baton Rouge Capitol.
Wells is ranked as the No. 34 player in Louisiana and has been working hard this summer to get even faster. He said his speed – a 4.68-second time at the NIKE Camp in Ft. Worth – has been his biggest focus.

"My coach has me doing different drills and working hard on my running technique," Wells said. "He's been working with me on exploding low and staying that way when I come out of the starter's position."
Wells has also been working on football stuff.
"I really wanted to improve my agility and the ability to stay with a man in man-to-man situations," he said. "I love the competition at cornerback, the hitting and the covering. I want to get even better at it."
Wells has camped this summer at Auburn (Greg Knox) and at the University of Louisiana Lafayette (Brent Pry). He does not have any offers at this point, but in May he also got calls from Arkansas, Alabama, TCU and Louisiana Tech.
