Louisiana ATH seeing stock soar

Harvey (La.) West Jefferson has a strong group of prospects in the class of 2013 but by far the most talented of the bunch is Ronald Lewis.
The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete has seen his stock soar over the past few weeks and he now holds close to double-digit offers.

"I have gotten a few offers so far," Lewis said. "I've gotten them from Texas A&M, Nebraska, TCU, FIU, Colorado, Tulane, Arizona State and Mississippi State. Most of them came in not too long ago.
"Mississippi State sort of surprised me because I hadn't really been talking to them. They actually told me to come to their junior day on March 31 and before I leave there I will have an offer."
Lewis has attended a junior day not too far from his home and hopes to make a couple more unofficial visits in the not too distant future.
"I went to the LSU junior day," he said. "It was really nice but they didn't talk to me about an offer or anything. I'm going to try to go to Mississippi State on March 31 and I'm going to try to go out to Arizona State sometime too."
With his skillset, Lewis could play a number of positions on the field. However, he says he is being primarily recruited on one side of the ball.
"Everybody is pretty much looking at me to play receiver and kickoff returner," he said. "That's what I like to do. I like to play on offense."
Lewis is hesitant to name a top group of schools but does admit that one particular program has caught his eye.
"Not really but Texas A&M sort of is," he said as to schools standing out to him. "They've been Facebooking me and I like the coaches there. I've been talking to the head coach there."
