Francis has reeled in a handful of scholarship offers heading into his
senior season.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound all-purpose back/defensive back
has drawn offers from Tulane, Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette among
numerous others from smaller programs. He has also received interest from LSU,
Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, Nebraska, Illinois, Northwestern and Duke.
"Right now, my two favorites are LSU and Tulane," Francis
said. "I think it will probably end up being one of those."
Francis said he grew up a Nebraska fan, but hasn't seen the
level of interest from the Cornhuskers to indicate they're serious about his
recruitment. He's also followed the Louisiana schools in recent years.
"LSU has a great team right now. I was kind of surprised by
them last year, winning the SEC," he said. "I like their coaches, too.
"I went to Tulane's camp and really liked it. They have a
nice campus, nice facilities."
As a junior, Francis was a first-team Class 2A all-state
selection at Port Barre High School after rushing for 1,362 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also had more than
60 tackles and five interceptions as a defensive back. He's a member of
the Rivals.com Louisiana Top 30
team and one of the top wide receivers
in the nation.
