Los Al has lethal-hitting safety

If your team is looking for a hard-hitting safety that has also played linebacker then look no further than safety/linebacker Nathan Quinn (6-1, 190, 4.5) from Los Alamitos, Calif.
Quinn started every game as a junior, mostly at outside linebacker where he was a first-team all-league selection.

“Nathan will be our Randy Estes this year,” Los Alamitos head coach John Barnes said. “He can hit and he can run.”
“Nathan has a great break on the ball,” Barnes said. “When he gets to the ball, he usually picks it off.”
“Nathan has a defensive player’s mentality,” Barnes said. “He loves to hit.”
Though Quinn started most of his junior season at linebacker, look for him to play his more natural position of safety as a senior.
As a junior, Quinn racked up 73 tackles, 11 pass breakups, five tackles for loss, three picks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two sacks.
Quinn also scored a defensive touchdown on a 45 yards interception return.
Look for Los Alamitos to capitalize on Quinn’s versatility. Quinn will also see action as a running back in 2004.
Quinn is already getting looks from an impressive allotment of schools. Alabama, Colorado, Northwestern, Arizona State and Arizona are a sampling of schools that have showed early interest in Quinn.
