Los Al has emerging sleeper
Los Alamitos, Calif., has been one of the best D-I producing programs in Southern California for some time now. Another Griffin player who should follow suit and end up on a D-I roster next February is wide receiver/cornerback Orlando Scandrick (5-11, 175, 4.5).
Scandrick is an outstanding two-way player who is getting looks as both a wide receiver and a cornerback.

On the offensive side of the ball, Scandrick caught 29 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 249 yards and scored three touchdowns on reverses and some inside counters from the wing.
Scandrick was selected all-league for his efforts in 2003.
Scandrick is just as talented as a defensive corner.
“Orlando is a playmaker on both sides of the ball,” Los Alamitos John Barnes said. “He’s a great corner on defense.”
“Orlando can get in your hip and just run with you all day,” Barnes said. “He is very hard to shake.”
“Orlando may be a bit underrated at this time,” Barnes said. “But those who have seen him on tape like him.”
Teams like Oregon State, Arizona and San Diego State are showing interest. By the end of the spring there will be a lot more.
