Lorenzo Williams claims two offers

Fayetteville (N.C.) Westover safety Lorenzo Williams has acquired two scholarships in the past month. Both offers for the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder came from in-state colleges.
"I've got offers from Wake Forest and Duke," he said. "I got the one from Duke in March and then Wake offered me two weeks ago when I went up for their spring game.

"The visit was good. Basically I watched the game. I like seeing my cousin, Alex Frye play. The fact he is there is big for me, but what's more important is that I talk to them all the time. I'd say I am favoring Wake Forest since I've been up there around the school so much. They were also the first school that started talking to me."
Does anything else stand out about the Demon Deacons to Williams?
"I really enjoyed watching them win the ACC last year," he said. "I got to go to all of their home games and it was great to be there and see what it's like for them to win the ACC championship."
Wake Forest isn't the only school catching the Fayetteville prospect's attention.
"I was also really surprised to see South Carolina and Clemson showing interest," he said. "I like those schools because those boys down there play football, they play hard. I love watching them on TV and they are good teams."
Williams is receiving interest from a few other schools including North Carolina State, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
Later this spring, he plans to head to Charlotte for a combine in May and the Adidas camp at North Carolina State. Williams is also considering camps to Virginia, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Duke and South Carolina.
Last season Williams earned honorable mention all-conference as a junior.
