Tight end / defensive end Chris Lore hasn't gotten the attention he may have deserved so far this recruiting season, but coaches are beginning to take notice. With a good frame and speed, Lore is looking at five schools.
"Wisconsin, Boston College, Arizona, UCLA and Temple are my favorites," said Lore. "Those schools are all recruiting me hard and I think I could fit in well at any of those places. I'm still waiting for offers, but they've shown a lot of interest."
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound tight end / defensive end from Port Chester (N.Y.) Trinity Pawling runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds and plays with tenacity on both sides of the ball.
"I'm content to block as a tight end," he said. "I really enjoy doing that, and going out for a pass over the middle every now and then. I'm really aggressive at defensive end. There's nothing I love more than rushing the passer. That's what I excel at."
Lore carries a 2.3 GPA and has scored a qualifying 1010 on his SAT. He grew up a Notre Dame fan, but the Irish aren't on his radar at the moment.
Thus far for Trinity Pawling, Lore has caught 18 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns. On defense he has recorded 71 tackles, three sacks, seven tackles for loss and has recovered four fumbles.
