Lopez keeps picking up interest

John Lopez said a bunch of programs have stopped by Orange (Calif.) Lutheran in the last few weeks but he hasn't talked too much with the coaches so he's not sure which ones.
His coach has told him that it's been busy though and the 6-foot-5, 328-pound offensive lineman is excited about how his recruitment is going. Arizona and Arkansas, Lopez said, are two that have made the trip to Orange Lutheran.

"There have been a lot," Lopez said. "They can't really talk to me so I haven't paid that close attention to it. My coach said there have been a lot of schools coming by."
The four-star prospect has offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Florida State, San Diego State, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State and he said many others are showing interest.
The Wisconsin coaching staff was pleasantly surprised to see Lopez recently especially since they were watching the wrong highlights of him. The Badgers haven't offered yet but there is interest.
"They were looking at my freshman stuff and thought it was last season so they like how I look right now," Lopez said. "I've been talking to the Wisconsin staff and maybe they'll offer me."
Lopez, rated No. 15 at his position and No. 126 in the 2013 class by Rivals.com, had considered to take a bunch of unofficial visits this summer but with the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge and The Opening planned he's not sure if that's going to be possible.
The four-star said he would prefer to make a commitment before the start of his senior season but if he's not ready then he's willing to wait longer.
"If it works out for me I am trying to do it later in the summer," Lopez said. "It might have to wait until later."
