Game: Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep at Baltimore (Md.) Gilman, Friday

Prospects:

Leonte Carroo, Don Bosco, 6-2/195, WR, 2012 prospect
Carroo already has a couple offers from Boston College and Rutgers and is just beginning to emerge as a threat in the Bosco offense. With more of an emphasis on the passing game this year, will Carroo have a breakout year? Is he ready to go from raw potential to actual production on the field?

Nick Fertitta, Gilman, 6-2/255, DE, 2013 prospect
Fertitta is a young player with very good size and potential. Is he a big defensive end or a defensive tackle at the next level? How will he handle the physical play of Bosco?

Brian Gaia, Gilman, 6-3/260, OL, 2012 prospect
Gaia plays tackle now, but likely projects as a guard in college. How does he move, can he reach the next level and hit moving targets in the running game?

Kenneth Goins, Gilman, 5-11/185, RB, 2012 prospect
Goins is a great complement to Darius Jennings in the Gilman running game and had a huge touchdown run in Gilman's rout of Good Counsel last week. He already has an offer from Pittsburgh with interest from many others. Is he the best running back in the state for 2012? Can he be an every-down back?

Hunter Goodwin, Gilman, 6-5/280, OL
Goodwin is committed to Wake Forest and chose the Demon Deacons over offers from Maryland and West Virginia. Goodwin has a tall frame but is it broad enough to fill out? Is he agile enough to fit into Wake's offensive scheme?

Darius Hamilton, Don Bosco, 6-4/245, DE, 2012 prospect
Hamilton is the son of former New York Giants standout Keith Hamilton. Hamilton plays defensive tackle in high school but can he add that size to project at the same level in college or will he be an end? Does he have an edge being the son of a former NFL player?

Darius Jennings, Gilman, 6-0/180, ATH
Jennings is one of the best all-around athletes in the country and tore apart Good Counsel last week. What position does he project at the best - wide receiver, cornerback, safety or even running back? How physical can he be against Bosco? Is the gap between Jennings and Cyrus Kouandjio really as big as the rankings suggest?

Cyrus Jones, Gilman, 5-11/183, ATH, 2012 prospect
Jones is a dynamic athlete with offers already from Iowa, Maryland, Pitt, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. What position does he project at in college? Is he big enough to take a pounding at receiver if that's where he projects and how is his top end speed?

Micah Kiser, Gilman, 6-2/205, LB 2013 prospect
Kiser is still growing into his frame but is he a middle or an outside linebacker and how is his sideline-to-sideline speed? How will he handle the physical Bosco linemen and will he be intimated by last year's No. 1 overall team?

Al-Quadine Muhammad, Don Bosco, 6-4/210, DE 2013 prospect
Muhammad has a long frame with plenty of room to grow, but how will he handle linemen who have 60-70 pounds on him? This will be his first real chance to shine off the edge so can he help fill the big shoes left by Pitt signee Bryan Murphy?

Miles Norris, Gilman, 6-0/185, LB 2013 prospect
Norris is undersized at linebacker, even for a sophomore, so does he have the frame to add the weight needed to play the position in college or will he be a safety? Can he handle the size of Bosco in run support?

Gary Nova, Don Bosco, 6-2/210, QB
Nova is already committed to Pitt, choosing the Panthers over offers from Boston College, Colorado, Rutgers, Virginia, Vanderbilt and others. Can he be as effective as last year without stud running back Tony Jones (Colorado signee) to carry the load? Will Nova put some zip on the ball or will he continue to rely on touch passes for the most part? Is he underrated as a three-star?

Jabrill Peppers, Don Bosco, 5-9/150, CB, 2014 prospect
Peppers is a true freshman who is already the talk of the Bosco coaching staff. Are we looking at the next great Bosco player and how will he handle the pressure of starting for last year's No. 1 team? Is he the best cornerback at Bosco since Michael Ray Garvin or will he be even better?

Henry Poggi, Gilman, 6-3/248, DE, 2013 prospect
Poggi is the third son of Gilman head coach Biff Poggi but is he the best? He's certainly the biggest but both Sam Poggi (Duke) and Jim Poggi (Iowa) ended up at D-I schools. Will Henry do the same and at what position?

Devon Porchia, Gilman, 6-2/200, LB, 2012 prospect
Porchia is coming off a big game against Good Counsel where he jumped a pass and returned it for a 30-yard touchdown to close out the scoring. He's another young linebacker on this squad. Is he the best in coverage? Can he become a big-play guy for this defense?

Elijah Shumate, Don Bosco, 6-1/186, S, 2012 prospect
Shumate is a transfer from now-defunct Patterson Catholic, so how will he fit in with Bosco's system and his new teammates? He already has offers from Arizona, Boston College, Colorado, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Pitt, Rutgers, USC and others, but is he a Rivals100 prospect for 2012? We know he's a big hitter, but how is he in coverage? Will he grow into a linebacker or stay as a safety?

Yuri Wright, Don Bosco, 6-2/180, CB, 2012 prospect
Wright is new to football so right now he's raw and still learning. However, with his rare size and leaping ability (40-inch vertical) he can be a rarity at cornerback. Or will he be forced to project as a safety? With Shumate new to the defense and Peppers a true freshman at the other cornerback position, how will this secondary react?

Quick Kicks:
Pitt is all over most of the top prospects in this game. The Panthers already have a commitment from Nova, are working hard to get Jennings and have already offered Goins, Shumate and Jones. … Jennings is thought to be favoring staying close to home so Maryland, Virginia and Penn State are among the schools thought to be his leaders. … In recent years Gilman has sent prospects to Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Iowa, Illinois, Duke and Cincinnati. … Nova will join former teammates Bryan Murphy and Brandon Sacco at Pitt next year. Only Boston College has landed more Bosco prospects over the last decade. … Both head coaches know a thing or two about coaching up their sons. Greg Toal sent his sons, Greg Toal Jr. and Brian Toal, to Boston College, while Biff Poggi has sent two sons, Sam Poggi and Jim Poggi to Duke and Iowa respectively. … This game will be played at Morgan State University. … This will be my first time seeing Gilman in person. I saw Don Bosco Prep last year in a 42-9 win over St. Peter's Prep.
Analyst: Adam Gorney

Game: Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft vs. Los Angeles Dorsey, Thursday at Rancho Cienega Park

Prospects:

Jeremiah Allison, Los Angeles Dorsey, 6-0/190, LB, 2012 prospect
Allison had 88 tackles and 20 sacks in his sophomore season and could be a serious threat to Taft's offense. He's proven to be tough to block multiple times and this is another big stage to prove he's one of the top rising juniors in Southern California.

Michael Bercovici, Woodland Hills Taft, 6-2/205, PQB
Bercovici missed a good portion of last season after transferring from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake but he had strong performances this summer and could put up big numbers in his senior season. Some consider him one of the most underrated quarterbacks in California. Can he back it up against a tough Dorsey defense?

Joseph Gray, Los Angeles Dorsey, 5-11/175, DQB
Gray threw for nearly 2,000 yards last season and looked good at multiple events this summer but can he become a legitimate Division-I prospect? He doesn't have any offers yet but a good showing against a tough Taft defense could help him with some programs.

Matthew Lyons, Los Angeles Dorsey, 6-2/178, LB
Lyons, a Washington commit, is aggressive and tough from his outside linebacker position but he lost a bunch of weight this summer with an illness. Will he be back to playing shape and can he put pressure on Bercovici?

Michael Thomas, Woodland Hills Taft, 6-3/180, WR
Thomas was one of the best wide receivers at the Eugene NIKE Camp. He's long and lean, and runs good routes. Can he translate a few solid camp performances into a big showing in a real football game?

Antwaun Woods, Woodland Hills Taft, 6-1/322, DT
Some analysts believe Woods is limited to simply bull-rushing offensive linemen and that he needs to diversify his moves to become an elite defensive tackle. How will he handle Dorsey's offensive line and will he face multiple double teams all night in the middle?

Quick Kicks:

Bercovici grew up loving UCLA but the Bruins didn't offer him, instead they went after Brett Hundley, who committed this past week. … Allison likes UCLA and Oregon the most and many believe the Ducks have a slight edge in his early recruitment. … Taft is trying to find a replacement at running back after Shaq Shelton transferred to Los Angeles Crenshaw in the last few weeks.
Analyst: Adam Gorney

Game: Los Angeles Crenshaw at Norco (Calif.), Friday

Prospects:

Marcus Martin, Los Angeles Crenshaw, 6-3/357, OL
Martin is a massive offensive lineman who impressed at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp and his recruitment started to heat up before he ended it in mid-June with a commitment to USC. Can he get into slightly better shape and become an even bigger force on Crenshaw's offensive line?

Scott Starr, Norco, 6-3/190, OLB, 2012 prospect
Starr is one of the top juniors in the Inland Empire and finished with 102 tackles and nine sacks in his sophomore season. Can he consistently put up big numbers now that everyone knows about him?

De'Anthony Thomas, Los Angeles Crenshaw, 5-9/160, RB
The five-star athlete scored two impressive touchdowns in the first half last week in a loss to Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett but left the game with cramps. Can the "Black Mamba" last an entire game and can he be as productive at running back and cornerback in the fourth quarter as he is in the first?

Marquis Thompson, Los Angeles Crenshaw, 5-10/172, QB/DB
He's probably not a quarterback on the college level but Thompson is Crenshaw's quarterback and does a fine job directing its offense. Can he keep finding ways to get Thomas the ball and limit his turnovers?

Brent Walker, Norco, 6-5/300, OL
Walker impressed everyone at the B2G Elite Camp at Cal Lutheran this summer. How will he do against Crenshaw's defensive line in a real game?

Kelsey Young, Norco, 5-11/192, RB
Young rushed for 1,767 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, and he wasn't always the feature back in Norco's offense. Can he add to those numbers in his senior year and continue to be considered one of the best backs in Southern California?

Quick Kicks:

The only athlete rated higher than Thomas by Rivals.com is Florida State commit James Wilder Jr. … Thomas is an exceptional running back but will probably play cornerback at USC. … Young, a Stanford commit, is the first person in his family to attend college. … Walker is considered a heavy UCLA lean.
Analyst: Brian Perroni

Game: Cleveland (Texas) at Brookshire (Texas) Royal, Friday

Prospects:

Cedric Reed, Cleveland, 6-5/245, SDE
Reed started gaining attention as a sophomore tight end and defensive end two years ago, but the big prospect was raw and it shows on his film from the 2008 season. He plays in a small classification and took time adjusting to the level of competition at the Army Combine in January but eventually ended up as one of the top DL performers. Has he improved in pads as well?

Brandon Williams, Royal, 6-1/188, APB
Williams had a huge year as a junior, rushing for more than 1,800 yards and adding another 500-plus through the air. The state of Texas is loaded with running backs in the class of 2011, but the big bruiser is out to prove he belongs in the discussion for No. 1.

Quick Kicks:

This is a matchup of players committed to rival schools as Reed has pledged to Texas while Williams plans to play at Oklahoma. Williams comes into the game having rushed for 552 yards and eight touchdowns on only 30 carries. Cleveland has struggled to an 0-2 start but a win Friday would give it some momentum with one more non-district game remaining.
Analyst: Barton Simmons

Game: Thibodaux (La.) at Destrehan (La.), Friday

Prospects:

Trey Granier, Thibodaux, 6-1/225, LB, 2012 prospect
Granier is considered one of the state's top prospects for the class of 2012 and a potential early commitment for LSU. Against a traditionally talented program in Destrehan, can Granier dominate a game on the defensive side of the ball and put himself in the discussion as the state's top prospect in his class?

Ethan Hutson, Destrehan, 6-4/295, OL
Hutson is a four-star prospect, one of the top-rated centers in the country and a Mississippi commit. Against a talented Thibodaux team, Hutson will need a dominating performance to back up a ranking that skeptics have questioned. Hutson plays all over the Destrehan line and will likely do most of his work at offensive tackle, despite his projection as a center at Ole Miss.

Gregory Robinson, Thibodaux, 6-5/296, OT
An uncommitted Rivals100 prospect, Robinson is one of the highest-rated tackles in the nation. Robinson is a physically imposing kid on the hoof and is also extremely athletic. With the tools of a five-star, I will be looking to see if Robinson maintains an effort level on every down, finishes blocks and has the athleticism to be a left tackle or strictly a right tackle on the next level.

Quick kicks:

Thibodaux knocked off a talented McDonogh 35 team last week by putting up 50 points in the triple-overtime win. A big part of that success was the 192 rushing yards of sleeper running back Joshua Johnson. Johnson is also joined by Raheem Richard in a talented backfield. … The top recruit in the game, Robinson, will have a lot of eyes on him as one of the few high-profile seniors in Louisiana yet to commit to the Tigers, but fans will be hoping the LSU-friendly environment changes that.
Analyst: Barry Every

Game: Summerville (S.C.) at Goose Creek (S.C.), Friday

Prospects:

Brandon Shell, Goose Creek, 6-7/290, OT
Film shows that Shell, the nephew of Art Shell is a run-mashing blocker, but does he have the feet and agility to succeed as a pass blocker at the next level?

Tramel Terry, Goose Creek, 5-11/170, WR, 2013 prospect
Is this one of the top players in the state of South Carolina or even the nation for the class of 2013? He already has verbal offers from Clemson, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Gerald Turner, Goose Creek, 6-1/235, LB/DE, 2013 prospect
According to his coach he has multiple verbal offers. Who are they from and is he a linebacker or defensive end at the next level?

Quick Kicks:

Both teams are considered the co-favorites in Class 4A in the lower state region of South Carolina. Goose Creek is lead by former Baylor University head coach Chuck Reedy, who still believes in strong defense and a power running game. Summerville (S.C.) is led by coach John McKissick, who has more victories than any high school coach. This is his 59th season as the leader of the Green Wave as he nears the 600-win mark. Summerville also produced Georgia star receiver A.J. Green.
Analyst: Barton Simmons

Game: Gainesville (Fla.) vs. River Ridge (La.) John Curtis, Saturday at Nicholls State University's John Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux, La.

Prospects:

Seth Jones, John Curtis, 6-2/228, OLB
A strong inside linebacker prospect, Curtis holds mid-major offers but when he plays against a talented Gainesville team, he will have an opportunity to show that he can play sideline to sideline. He needs to show that he has the speed to play at a BCS program.

Luis Rosado, Gainesville, 6-2/210, S
A Florida International commit, Rosado is a big safety that will be able to play in the box on Saturday. Playing an offense that will be very run-heavy, can Rosado provide the physical presence and sure tackling to limit John Curtis? Will he be better used as a linebacker on the next level?

Trevarris Saulsberry, Gainesville, 6-4/252, DT
A Tennessee commitment, Saulsberry is a light but active interior defender. He will be tested against John Curtis and will have an opportunity to show that he can play with the motor and leverage to earn a rankings bump.

Jordan Williams, Gainesville, 6-4/240, DE
A three-star prospect, Williams is one of the better-looking prospects physically that you will see at defensive end. Against a physical run offense at John Curtis, Williams has a chance to prove that he can be tough enough to push for four-star status.

Quick Kicks:

John Curtis had a rare loss in the state championship game last year, losing to Evangel Christian, and it just snuck by Mandeville in its first game this year, 21-20. … Gainesville lost its first game of the season, 16-9, to a tough Trinity Catholic. … Williams will be making his second trip in a matter of months to Louisiana after he was one of the top performers at LSU's prospect camp.
Analyst: Brian Perroni

Game: League City (Texas) Clear Springs vs. Katy (Texas) Cinco Ranch, Saturday at Rhodes Stadium

Prospects:

Donnie Baggs, Clear Springs, 6-2/210, ILB
The Texas A&M commit played safety as a sophomore before moving to linebacker a year ago. He plays outside for the Chargers but will likely move inside in college. He has been relatively quiet in his first two games this year. Will this be his breakout performance?

Jamel James, Cinco Ranch, 5-11/200, RB, 2013 prospect
James saw time on one of Class 5A's best teams as a freshman a year ago. He is the team's leading rusher this season, averaging 8.5 yards per carry in the first two games. He is a powerful runner and not afraid of contact.

Howard Matthews, Clear Springs, 6-1/200, S/RB
Like Baggs, Matthews is also committed to Texas A&M. He played last season at Seguin (Texas) High, tallying seven interceptions for the Matadors. He has had a big hand on both offense and defense in Clear Springs' two victories.

K.C. Nlemchi, Cinco Ranch, 6-0/215, RB
The SMU pledge is a power back combining with James to form one of the top running back tandems in the state. He was a workhorse last season, finishing with nearly 300 carries. He will likely split time in college and is proving to be just as effective as a situation back this season.

Trevon Randle, Clear Springs, 6-1/205, OLB
The LSU pledge is an incredibly productive defender, leading the Chargers in tackles both of the past two seasons. He plays the run very well but has largely been untested against the pass in a district that features primarily run-heavy offenses.

Sam Richardson, Clear Springs, 5-8/165, CB
The Iowa State commit is small in stature but does not let it affect his play. He matches up with bigger receivers and holds his own. He is also a monster on special teams, blocking 17 kicks the past two seasons.

Quick Kicks:
Both teams are fairly balanced but it is clearly a matchup of one of the area's top defenses in Clear Springs against one of the best rushing offenses in Cinco Ranch. Clear Springs made the regional finals a year ago while Cinco Ranch was a state semifinalist, so both are coming off big seasons and have high expectations, and enter with 2-0 records.
Analyst: Barton Simmons

Game: New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine vs. McDonogh 35, Saturday at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans

Prospects:

Jonah Austin, St. Augustine, 6-7/305, OT
Austin has committed to Houston and few players have the size he possesses. But is he just a big body? Can Austin show the mobility necessary to be a factor at Houston?

Lawrence Burl, St. Augustine, 6-3/215, DE
Burl is a Tulane commit and has yet to be evaluated. He will get his chance in this high energy affair as a defensive end with average size. He will need to show a lot of athleticism and play-making ability.

Trey Carter, McDonogh 35, 5-9/170, WR
Another athletic, speedy wide receiver for McDonogh 35, Carter has several mid-major offers along with offers from Kansas and Kentucky. He will need to continue to show that his speed can compensate for limited size.

Theltus Cobbins, McDonogh 35, 6-2/190, DQB
Cobbins was one of the surprises on the camp circuit with his accuracy. In this setting, the Kentucky commit will have an opportunity to show that he can be a capable and accurate passer but also display his ability to move the chains with his legs. Just how good is the quarterback that Kentucky dipped into Louisiana to land?

Charles Henderson, McDonogh 35, 5-10/175, WR
A Utah commit, Henderson doesn't have great size but he does have big-play ability. Against another talented New Orleans team, he needs to show that he is one of the best players on the field and back up what the Utes saw in him.

Renaldo Thomas, St. Augustine, 6-3/190, S
Thomas, a Tulane commit, was one of the more highly touted 2011 prospects early due to his upside and size, but has since fallen off the radar. This setting is an opportunity for Thomas to display the physical attitude and consistency that he needs to be one of the state's top defensive backs.

Quick kicks
Two of the top prospects in this game will be sitting out for St. Augustine in offensive guard Trai Turner, a four-star LSU commit, and Marc Edwards, a smooth wide receiver committed to Tulane. St. Augustine quarterback Terry Lucas is also questionable for the game. … Both St. Augustine and McDonogh 35 lost their first games, but both offenses came to play. St. Augustine scored 56 points in a losing effort against West Jefferson while McDonogh 35 lost to Thibodaux despite ringing up 44 points.
Analyst: Barry Every

Game: Decatur (Ga.) Southwest DeKalb vs. Atlanta Douglass, Saturday at Lakewood Stadium in Atlanta

Prospects:

Terrance Smith, Decatur (Ga.) Southwest DeKalb, 6-4/210, OLB
He has the size and speed to take over the game. Is the Florida State commit is the most underrated player in the state of Georgia right now?

Quick Kicks:

Former Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake coach Dallas Allen takes over a downtrodden but historic program in Atlanta Douglass. Last year, the team finished 1-9 but did produce U.S. Army All-American and current Georgia Bulldog Garrison Smith. One of the Astros most famous football alumni is Jamal Lewis. Coach Buck Godfrey is back for his 28th year at the helm of Decatur (Ga.) Southwest DeKalb. He has led the Panthers to 24 winning seasons in 27 years while producing a multitude of talent such as Quincy Carter and most recently, Georgia freshman T.J. Stripling.
Analyst: Barton Simmons

Game: Lake City (Fla.) Columbia vs. Galliano (La.) South Lafourche, Saturday at Nicholls State University's John Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux, La.

Prospects:

Timmy Jernigan, Columbia, 6-2/275, DT
Jernigan is one of the most highly touted defenders in the country. In the first week of the season he had a sack and a fumble recovery, along with two touchdowns on offense. He is a great athlete and a strong performance in Louisiana could help his push for a fifth star.

Quick Kicks:

A good, young offensive line will help to test Jernigan, who is the top prospect in this game. ...This is not the first major recruit for Columbia coach Craig Howard, who coached Tim Tebow at Nease.
Analyst: Mike Farrell

Game: Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle at Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic, Saturday

Prospects:

Jamal Abdur-Rahman, La Salle, 5-10/175, RB
Abdur-Rahman had an early offer from Maryland before the Terps backed off and he committed to Villanova. Size has always been the question mark so was it his stature that kept D-I teams away or a few injuries he suffered last year? Can he lead his team to a state title again this year?

Cameron Dickerson, Bergen Catholic, 6-3/195, WR
Dickerson committed to Northwestern over offers from Duke, Indiana, Vanderbilt and others. While he has great size, speed has been a bit of a question mark. Can he improve on his 31 catches as a junior and be even more of a deep threat than he was last year?

Tanner McEvoy, Bergen Catholic, 6-5/200, ATH
McEvoy has offers from Miami, Boston College, South Carolina, Rutgers, North Carolina, Maryland, Pitt and many others, but most are as a receiver or tight end. Can he be a quarterback at the next level and will he continue to make astonishing improvements as he did from February to June?

Shutang Mungwa, Bergen Catholic, 6-2/200, S
Mungwa committed to Stanford over offers from Louisville and Syracuse. With Jim Harbaugh recruiting at such a high level, is Mungwa underrated? Will he stay at safety or grow into a linebacker in college?

Charles Wingate, Bergen Catholic, 5-9/165, ATH, 2012 prospect
Wingate isn't big but he has great leaping ability and good quickness. Is he a cornerback or a slot receiver at the next level? Does he have what it takes to be a return man in college as well?

Quick Kicks:
Mungwa is yet another Bergen Catholic prospect to leave the East Coast and head to the Pac-10 like Brian Cushing and James Dray before him. … New Bergen Catholic coach Nunzio Campanile was the offensive coordinator for Don Bosco Prep last season, helping lead it to the nation's No. 1 ranking. He takes over for longtime head coach Fred Stengel. … Many feel McEvoy could be a lean to South Carolina and Steve Spurrier's fun-and-gun offense. … I saw Bergen Catholic last season when it rolled over Iona Prep 38-2. This will be my first time seeing La Salle in person.
Analyst: Mike Farrell

Game: Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph's at Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep, Saturday

Prospects:

Michael Giacone, St. Peter's Prep, 6-5/232, TE, 2012 prospect
Giacone was a backup last season but still saw plenty of action. How will he fare in a starting role this season, especially as a blocker in a run-oriented offense? Is he athletic enough to stretch the field or will he simply be a sixth offensive lineman? Does he have the frame to grow into an offensive lineman in college if needed?

Najee Glass, St. Peter's Prep, 6-2/160, WR, 2012 prospect
Glass is a track star and one of the fastest players in the state, but is he a true football player? He is also very thin so can he add weight, especially as he continues to run track, to fill out his frame. Will he choose track full time over football?

Savon Huggins, St. Peter's Prep, 6-0/190, RB
Huggins has narrowed his list down to 10 schools - Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Stanford and Wisconsin - and expects to cut his list to five soon. While he is the top-ranked player in the state, many feel he is underrated and is a five-star talent? Can he put together the kind of season to justify that lofty ranking and will he be utilized even more in the passing game this season?

Keith Lumpkin, St. Peter's Prep, 6-8/295, OL
Lumpkin has offers from Rutgers, Pitt, North Carolina, Michigan State, South Carolina, Illinois and others. He's arguably the best-looking offensive lineman prospect in the country on the hoof but is still raw after recently choosing to focus on football over basketball. Can he take the next step in his development and will he be more physical this year?

Skyler Mornhinweg, St. Joseph's, 6-3/190, QB, 2012 prospect
The son of former Detroit Lions head coach Marty Mornhinweg, does Skyler have the instincts on the field of a coach's son? Having already committed to Stanford, will having that decision behind him help him focus on the field or will he lack the hunger of a quarterback looking to earn offers?

Sheldon Royster, St. Peter's Prep, 6-0/185, S
Royster has offers from Rutgers, Pitt, South Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina, West Virginia, Illinois and others. Already known as a big hitter, how will Royster do in coverage? Will he be effective as the second running back in the offense to give Huggins a breather? Could he be a running back at the next level if he focused on it?

D.J. Singleton, St. Peter's Prep, 6-3/200, S, 2012 prospect
Singleton already has interest from many schools and teams with Royster in the secondary. With his size as a junior, will he grow into a linebacker and how will he fare against a good passer like Mornhinweg?

Quick Kicks:
Rutgers is considered the team to beat for Huggins, Royster and Lumpkin and this game will be played at the home of the Scarlet Knights. Oddly enough, St. Peter's Prep has sent big-time prospects to Florida, Virginia, Stanford, Boston College, Tennessee, South Florida and Pitt but not to Rutgers. … Huggins is the highest-ranked prospect at St. Peter's Prep since Will Hill checked in at No. 10 overall in 2008. … I saw St. Peter's Prep last year in a 42-9 loss to Don Bosco in the regular season. … St. Joseph's lost stud running back Desmon Peoples to a transfer, as the 5-foot-7, 160-pound star is now at Archbishop Wood Catholic. Peoples accounted for more than 1,300 yards of offense as a sophomore. … St. Joe's is also replacing starting tackle Seth Betancourt, who signed with Boston College last year….Mornhinweg committed to Stanford despite the Cardinal taking three quarterbacks in 2010 and two more already for 2011. … This will be my first time seeing St. Joseph's in person.
