Lonie lands another offer

"My coach called Ohio State today," kicker/punter David Lonie said on Friday evening. "And they told him they were offering me a full scholarship to play there. So that gives me another option."
"I guess they're going to work on getting me there for an official visit."

"Michigan, Ohio State, and Illinois, all three of them have offered me a full-ride officially."
In addition to those three schools Lonie is also looking at Miami, Arizona State, Cal, Texas A&M, and Hawaii.
The 6-foot-6 and 215 pound Lonie is in his second season at Iowa Falls (Iowa) Ellsworth Community College. In his first year he made eight of 11 field goals with his longest from 48 yards.
Lonie also punted 65 times averaging 40.1 per boot, and handled his team's kickoff duties. A number of his kickoffs went through the uprights.
Lonie's journey to the state of Iowa was a long one. He is originally from Australia where he went to Palm Beach Currumbin High School.
