Longson hopes to release top 10

Kieffer Longson is planning to release a top 10 soon but the three-star offensive tackle admits a lot could still happen in his recruitment.
The San Ramon (Calif.) Dougherty Valley prospect saw USC and UCLA earlier this week and he's currently on trips to Ohio State and Michigan.

Longson, who looked good at the RCS Northern California, also recently took trips to BYU and Utah and both those schools remain under serious consideration because of his LDS affiliation and how that will factor in his recruitment.
"USC was great," Longson said. "It was great competition and at UCLA I just watched. USC said they're supposed to call this week and I've been talking with UCLA.
"(The LDS situation) is actually a huge influence but at the same time USC and UCLA would still be a good option. USC, UCLA, BYU and Utah, those are all good schools.
"No favorites but I'm going to have a top 10 pretty soon. Those (four) will make the top 10."
Longson, who also said Ohio State would make the initial cut, first plans to release that list of 10 favorites and then focus more on scheduling his official visits instead of making a decision.
The three-star offensive tackle said he would prefer to take his trips first but if something really interests him in the coming weeks then he could also make his pledge. With USC and UCLA showing more interest and others getting involved all the time, Longson doesn't seem to be in a major rush to decide anything.
"I would like to take my official visits first but if it comes down to it I could make it this summer," Longson said.
The Northern California recruit is currently rated as the No. 49 offensive tackle in the 2015 class by Rivals.com.
