Longson adds big Pac-12 offer

For months, Kieffer Longson has had a top three of Utah, BYU and Ohio State but now with a new offer from UCLA the Bruins have emerged as a favorite as well.
The three-star offensive tackle from San Ramon (Calif.) Dougherty Valley was watched by UCLA assistant coach Angus McClure recently and the Pac-12 school decided to offer. Even though it's getting late in the recruiting process, Longson said he's highly interested in the Bruins.

"That was pretty awesome," Longson said.
"They just never had an opportunity to examine me in person. Angus came to one of my games on Friday and he really liked how I played so Monday he wanted to confirm it with the coaches and then I talked to him and he offered me.
"I would definitely put them in that top four. My dad went there and that's not really why but when I went there it's a super good education, it's a super nice place, the coaches are awesome and it's a great football program. It's awesome."
Longson, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound prospect, has already taken an official visit to BYU. He has tentatively planned one to Utah for late November when the Utes host Arizona and now with the UCLA offer the three-star is planning a trip to Westwood. Nothing has been determined with an Ohio State visit yet.
"I'm planning one now with UCLA," Longson said. "For Utah, I'm going to take it November 22 but it depends on if we make playoffs.
"I would like to take my official visits as soon as possible and then after my official visits I'll make my decision."
