Longhorns pick up another big commitment in Keaontay Ingram

Nick Krueger joined Rivals.com as a multimedia producer in 2011 and has covered recruiting in the state of Texas since 2016. He also co-hosts and produces Rivals' weekly podcast, Commitment Issues.

Texas picked up a huge commitment for its 2018 class on Tuesday when Carthage running back Keaontay Ingram announced his pledge in a video posted to Twitter. Ingram should give Texas its second consecutive class that includes one of the state's top running backs, after snagging Toneil Carter late in 2017.

Ingram was one of the players that saw his ranking increase after this spring in the most recent update of the Rivals Rankings, and furthers the notion that the Texas brand has been refreshed with in-state recruits. Recently Texas picked up a commitment from former LSU commit, Caden Sterns.
