Longbons itching to get back on field

When you’re a four-star elite recruit, you’ve had plenty of good things happen throughout your high school career, but for Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial running back Terry Longbons his senior season suffered a set back when he went down with an injury. But there is always a silver lining to every cloud.
“I’ll be back for the playoffs,” Longbons, a 5-foot-11, 211-pound running back, said. “It’s been frustrating to watch everything on the field and not be able to do anything about it. But I enjoy watching the games and seeing everybody else do really well. I’ve had to still be a leader and be involved with everything the team does.

“I just can’t wait to get back out there.”
That time will come soon enough.
Longbons said he’s still a solid commitment to Arizona, even though he’s getting regular calls from Arizona State still.
“I still get a few calls from them,” Longbons said. “I also still talk all the time to the coaches at Arizona. I talk to coach Stoops, coach Kish and all the coaches there. I have no idea when I’m going to take my official visit there.
“I do have an idea. It’ll probably be the week or two after state.”
And if Longbons has his way then it will be after a state championship.
