Longa knows his future home

Just as many of the Rutgers commitments, three-star linebacker Steve Longa has had a tumultuous week since Coach Greg Schiano took off for the NFL. However, after taking an official visit to Boston College last weekend, Longa realized he knew where his future home would be.
After returning home from Boston College, Longa thought about his entire recruiting process and realized that Rutgers was the place for him.

"I never committed to RU because of Coach Schiano," said Longa. "I belong at RU and it took me the visit that I had at BC to confirm that."
Longa shared a few more details about his visit to Boston College.
"I didn't have that feeling that I felt when I was at Rutgers and they didn't have my major," said Longa, referring to mechanical engineering
Further strengthening Longa's feeling towards Rutgers was the hiring of Coach Kyle Flood as head coach.
"I thought it was a great choice," said Longa. "He's new to the position but not new to the program. And I know he is gonna take RU to where it's gotta be."
Taking Rutgers to those places was made a little easier tonight with the commitment of five-star defensive end Darius Hamilton.
"I think it's a great place for him," said Longa. "He made this class a lot better than what it was and we are all gonna do great things together."
