Long will visit Big 12 schools

Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods linebacker David Long will take two visits before his team starts summer camp in August, and both will go to Big 12 schools.
Long and his mother will travel to Oklahoma June 20-22. The Sooners have not yet offered, but he is in regular contact with linebackers coach Tim Kish.

"He said to get down here so I can meet the staff and potentially get an offer," Long said. "(An offer) would be real big."
Long will follow up the Oklahoma visit with a trip to West Virginia on July 26 with teammates Chaz Lumpkin and Christian Lumpkin.
"That's a camp and I might (work out), but I'm not sure," Long said. "I am going to go look at the dorms because I didn't get to see the dorms last time."
The Mountaineers have already offered Long, and the three-star linebacker said they are "real high," on his list at this time. A final decision is still some time off, however.
"I don't really have a team to beat right now," Long said. "I like all my options, but my top six is coming out after I come back from Oklahoma. I want to take my official visits and (decide) middle of the season."
The 5-foot-11, 209-pound Long holds a total of 15 offers at this stage of the process. He is ranked as the No. 24 inside linebacker prospect in the 2015 class.
