Long verbals to Buffalo

Aldine Nimitz High School's Ray Anthony Long will join district-mate Darius Willis at the University of Buffalo next season.
"I took a visit to Buffalo and really liked it," he said. "I really like Coach (Turner) Gill and I talk with Darius all the time. I think we are going to go up there and do something special.

"They want me to play defensive back, but I could end up playing on offense also," he said. "They have a lot of things in mind for me up there."
The 6-foot-1, 202-pound safety held offers from California and Arkansas throughout the process, but decided on Buffalo over the past few days.
Long was an all-district defensive back and stars on the Nimitz track team. Willis is also a versatile athlete, playing everything from quarterback to linebacker for Eisenhower.
