Long snapper picks KU

One of the top long snappers in the nation is heading to the University of Kansas.
The Jayhawks have picked up a commitment from Zack Hood, a 6-foot-4, 252-pound, long snapper and offensive center. Hood, who committed after a January 17 official visit, picked Kansas over Nebraska, New Mexico State, South Dakota and Wyoming.

"I fell in love with the place," Hood said. "I loved the academics, the facilities and the fact that they’re building a new weight room that’s going to be the best in the Big 12.”
Hood will be a gray shirt candidate for the Jayhawks. He will sign a national letter of intent on Wednesday but then will only enroll as a part time student his first semester at Kansas.
He will then be awarded a full scholarship during his second semester in Lawrence.
