Long is headed to the Northwest

Adam Long, a 5-11, 175 pound athlete from Playa Del Rey (Calif.) St. Bernard visited Washington eearlier this month and the Huskies jumped to the top of his list. After an in-home visit earlier in the week, Long decided to jump on the offer from the Huskies.
Long is one of the elite two sport athletes in the state. Along with football, he's a big time track prospect and finished third in the state in the 200m a year ago. He had a big year running the football but might be an even better prospect as a cornerback.

"He has liked Washington for awhile," St. Bernard coach Greg Dixon said. "He took an unofficial visit there in the summer and just loved everything about the school.
"He had a great official visit and he really likes Coach Willingham a lot. His visit couldn't have gone any better to be honest and he told me after he got back that he would be going to Washington. Then Coach Willingham came in for an in-home visit and that really sealed the deal.
"Adam is a great player and he's coming in as a cornerback. They thing he can come in and play right away because of his speed and overall play making ability. He had a great year for us and is a very talented athlete."
