Long identifies several top teams

Westerville (Ohio) South three-star tight end Darryl Long has seen his offer list balloon to 14 schools in the last few months. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound prospect is not rushing to make a decision, but he has a few schools that have piqued his interest at this stage.
"Louisville and Kentucky are both schools that I highly favor," Long said. "I also like Purdue and I also like North Carolina. Those are four or five schools that I really like so far."

Long is close with several of his fellow class of 2014 prospects, including Rivals250 members Darius West, Drew Barker and Thaddeus Snodgrass. Which schools they like and the possibility of playing together in college comes up frequently in their discussions.
"We actually talk about schools all the time," Long said. "We all want to do what is best for us, but at the same time if we feel like one schools is good for all we might as well meet up somewhere."
The latest schools to offer Long have been South Florida and Central Florida. He admitted he does not know much about South Florida yet, but he had a first-hand look at Central Florida recently.
"I was actually down in Orlando for spring break, so I visited Central Florida while I was there," Long said. "I spent a lot of time with the coaching staff and got to learn about them. The area was very nice - one of the best schools I have seen. I really enjoyed my time down there."
No additional visits are set in stone in the near future, but Long does have a few schools he would like to make it out to before spring is over.
"I am trying to get to Louisville and Kentucky again," Long said. "Then, I want to make it out to Illinois and Pitt again, but it is kind of hard during the school year."
