Long hearing more from Bruins

UCLA is starting to make a more concerted push for four-star David Long and the Los Angeles Loyola standout is planning to take a visit to Westwood soon.
"The latest is that I've been talking a lot with UCLA, Michigan still, Washington and a little bit from Oregon and Oklahoma," Long said this past weekend at the Passing Down 7on7 tournament.

"I potentially have a visit on Friday going to UCLA to get a feel for the campus. I'm going to start building a relationship with the coaches."
The Bruins were not as involved as others earlier on but it has started to drastically pick up and Long is definitely taking notice.
The four-star who has shined at cornerback in recent 7on7 tournaments said he is hitting it off with UCLA defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin and is really looking forward to his upcoming visit over there.
"It's picked up lately," Long said.
"UCLA has really been on me. I talk to coach (Martin) weekly so I have a really good relationship with him. I've also been talking to coach (Jim) Mora so I'm really looking forward to what they have to bring."
Long also recently chatted with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and that was a memorable experience. It's still too early for him to name favorites but that conversation with Harbaugh definitely stood out.
"That was a great experience for me just knowing the type of credibility he has in the world of football," Long said. "I talked to everybody on the staff so it was a really good deal.
"But I'm trying to keep everything open. I haven't started to break anything down. Really I'm just trying to get a better idea. I don't see myself making any early decisions."
