Long back from Notre Dame

David Long expected to see a lot of neat things during his Notre Dame visit this past weekend and the four-star cornerback was not disappointed.
The Los Angeles Loyola standout got to spend time on campus, with the coaches and he seemed to love the game-day environment in South Bend.

Long remains committed to Stanford but with the admissions process dragging on there is definitely intrigue in other programs.
"It was a really good visit," Long said. "I got to meet with all the coaches and see the environment around the campus on game day which I really liked. I got to see about the academics and everything.
"It was amazing. It was something different. I had never seen anything like it before. It's something I would definitely be willing to be a part of. It matches with the academics I'm looking for and I think only three schools could offer that education with a real football environment."
The four-star prospect said he will be deliberate through the recruiting process and doesn't plan to make any snap decisions.
His pledge to Stanford still stands but Notre Dame definitely made an impression and he has other trips coming up as well.
"I'm just taking everything in stride," Long said. "I'm definitely not going to jump to any conclusions. I'll definitely keep in mind everything and re-assess when I get back to L.A. but it was a great visit.
"(The Notre Dame coaches) will be out there for the bye week and they'll be recruiting me really hard."
The four-star prospect is visiting Michigan this weekend for its big matchup against Michigan State. He said trips to Duke, Ohio State and Washington are also being considered.
