Lomax ready to recruit for UGA

Heading to Athens, Ga., this weekend is a solid collection of blue-chip talent, including star receivers Demiko Goodman and Calvin Johnson.
The Georgia coaches won’t be the only one trying to do their best recruiting job this weekend, as three-star defensive end Jeremy Lomax of Lovejoy, Ga., is also going to play the role of recruiting coordinator.

“I’m going up there on my official visit hoping to have a great time,” Lomax, who committed to UGA back on December 14, said. “I’ve been talking to the coaches, and I know how bad they want Demiko Goodman and Calvin. So, I’m going to do a little recruiting of my own.
“I’m going to basically tell them about how UGA has a great team and the coaches are cool. Coach Richt came by my house and he’s a great coach. He’s like a father figure, but is also like a brother to you. You can talk to him about anything.”
At one point, Lomax said he was toying with still visiting Tennessee, despite his commitment, but he said that is something he no longer wants to do.
“I had Tennessee scheduled for the 23rd,” he said. “But I’m done. I told them that Georgia is where I want to be at.”
