Logan is an emerging prospect

Somehow Brookline (Mass.) Dexter linebacker Abner Logan has remained out of the recruiting spotlight to date, but it appears that all of that is about to change.
Logan has an offer from UMass and plenty of FBS schools are showing interest. There's a good chance his offer list could start to grow rapidly.

"I got the UMass offer towards the middle of basketball season," he recalled. "Their defensive coordinator came to my school. They want me to play outside linebacker."
Penn State, UConn, NC State, Syracuse, Florida, Maryland and Rutgers are some of the other schools showing interest.
"I've spoken to coaches from UMass and UConn but that's just because they're a lot closer to me (than the other schools)," he explained.
"Over the summer I'm actually going to all of the rest of the schools. They want me to go to their one-day camps just to see how I compete with everyone.
"They said my film is good. It's just because of the level of competition in New England they want to see how I compete with some of the rest of the players from everywhere else."
UConn and Syracuse are recruiting the 6-foot-1, 212-pound prospect as a running back, while schools like Florida, Rutgers, and others like him as an outside linebacker or a strong safety.
