Connor Loftus has already picked up some impressive offers and another big one came recently when Michigan offered the Anaheim (Calif.) Servite kicker.
Because Servite is playing in the state championship game this weekend against Concord (Calif.) De La Salle, Loftus is focused on finishing out his season before setting up visits but he said a trip to Ann Arbor is a strong possibility.
"It's definitely a big one," Loftus said. "That's a big one and it's exciting. I was pretty excited about it. It's not only one of the most-storied football programs ever but it's a great academic institution.
"It's relatively new. I haven't really talked to them until a few weeks ago. I think I'm going to get up there. I don't really know, I haven't made any plans because I want to win the state championship against De La Salle this weekend. I'll worry about visits after that."
The 5-foot-11, 182-pound prospect now has offers from Michigan, Air Force, Boise State, Brown, Cornell, Harvard, Navy, North Carolina, NC State and Penn. Loftus said he's starting to receive more interest from Washington and Colorado as well.
No visits have been scheduled yet but Loftus said he has a few schools in mind where he might take one. With the new offer from Michigan, the Wolverines are almost definitely on that list.
"They want me to come up for a visit and check it out," Loftus said. "They didn't put any pressure on me to commit. They want me to check out the campus and see what it's like up at Michigan and get the whole feel for what it's like."
