Lockdown corner plays long
If your team is looking for a corner prospect the odds are they will be taking a look at Sheldon Price (6-1, 160, 4.56) from La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat. Price has the height and toughness to go against the taller wide receivers that are so much a part of football today.
As a junior Price earned first-team all-league and second-team all-area honors as a junior after he accounted for 36 tackles, nine pass deflections, three interceptions and one fumble recovery.

In the early going UCLA, Cal, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Wake Forest, LSU and Notre Dame have shown recruiting interest in Price.
What does Price want in a college?
"I want to play in a prestigious conference and hopefully play on the west coast," Price said. "But if there is a better fit somewhere other than the west coast then I'll go there.
"Academics will also be very important and will be a big part of my decision."
Price comes from outstanding football bloodlines. His Dad is Dennis Price who played for UCLA and then in the NFL with the then Los Angeles Raiders and the New York Jets.
Even though Price has strong ties to UCLA, he is very open at this stage of the process.
San Diego State, Washington and Notre Dame have invited Price to their junior days.
"I think I'm going to Washington's junior day for sure and I would like to go Notre Dame's," Price said. "I missed out on San Diego State's junior day because I took my SAT.
Price is also planning on taking in some camps this spring and summer.
"I'm going to the NIKE Camp in Los Angeles for sure," Price said. "I went to the US Army All-American Combine last January and that was a great experience.
"I'll probably go to the UCLA camp for sure," Price said. "I want to go to Wake Forest's Camp and perhaps I'll go to Notre Dame's camp as well.
The scouting report on Price is he's a lockdown cover corner who is a very intelligent football player with a high football IQ. He's savvy, plays fast, has outstanding anticipation and is a ball hawk.
Price has long arms and with his 35.8 vertical jump, plays tall.
Price also participates in track and competes in the 400-m (51.2), long jump (21.2) and triple jump (42.3).
