Location no issue for Buck

Donavin Buck does not want to limit his options because of location so when Rutgers reached out to him the Brawley (Calif.) Brawley Union outside linebacker made it clear going across the country wouldn't be an issue.
That led Rutgers to offering the 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect who also has offers from Oregon State and San Diego State.

Just because Rutgers' campus is about 2,700 miles from Buck's home isn't going to stop him from getting recruited by the Scarlet Knights.
"They asked me if location was a problem for me," Buck said. "I told them absolutely not and that I'm open to going anywhere. I'm not going to cut my chances down just because where it's located. They said that was cool.
"They talked to their tight ends coach and they said they really like my tape and my physical play. They said I have a chance to go there for offense or defense, whichever one I prefer if I go there. They said they wanted to offer me a ride."
Buck, who could play linebacker, defensive end or tight end, said interest has picked up recently as well.
The Brawley Union standout who's expected to compete at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour on March 10 in Los Angeles said Oregon, Michigan and Boise State are three new teams involved in his recruitment.
For Buck, everything is going well and it's been a lot of fun.
"I'm stoked," Buck said.
"It's a really fun process just getting the letters. I haven't communicated with many of the coaches but when I hear from a new school I really get excited."
