Local love for linebacker

Recruiting attention for Oxford (Miss.) linebacker Johnathon Frink has had a decidedly local feel to it thus far.
"Basically, it's been all Ole Miss," he said. "I've heard a lot from the coaches (written and text messaging) and that's been it so far."

The 6-foot-1, 209-pounder had 147 tackles during Oxford's 13-1 season last year.
"I like to get after the ball," he said. "I'm a hard-hitter and I like to read."
With teammate Jamison Hughes already committed to the Rebels and the proximity to campus, is Frink a lock to head to Ole Miss?
"I believe in weighing all of my options," he said. "So I am not going to decide any time soon."
Frink believes there are parts of his game he needs to work on to be the best he can be at the next level.
"Basically, I need to work on my foot quickness and getting from point A to point B better," he said.
On March 18, Frink attended the Rivals.com Junior Day on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.
"I learned about recruiting tactics," he said. "Also about academics and my core G.P.A. I'm all about academics, so that's what I learned about."
Frink will attend the Clemson NIKE Camp on May 21.
