Lobos add a lineman

Riverside (Calif.) J.W. North offensive guard Lamar Bratton enjoyed the recruiting process while it lasted, but it has now come to an end.
The California lineman took an official visit to Duke last weekend, though the Blue Devils had not offered. Admittedly, he wanted to see if the ACC would extend an offer before he made his decision.

When the Blue Devils accepted a commitment from three-star defensive end Dezmond Johnson they informed Bratton that they would not be able to extend an offer.
That made Bratton's decision easy, as New Mexico was a school that had been on his mind anyways.
"They said they didn't have enough spots to offer me," Bratton said of the Duke coaches. "So I called the University of New Mexico and committed to them."
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound lineman had also received offers from Nevada and UNLV. He said he would not take any other visits between now and National Signing Day.
