Sarell commits to the Cardinal
SAN ANTONIO – The headliner of Saturday’s commitment announcements at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl was five-star offensive tackle Foster Sarell, the No. 3 ranked prospect in the 2017 Rivals100. He picked Stanford over Washington, giving the Cardinal their third five-star prospect for 2017, to go along with quarterback Davis Mills and offensive tackle Walker Little.
Hailing from Graham, Wash., Sarell had taken official visits to Nebraska in September, Notre Dame in October, USC in November and Washington in December. Coming into Saturday’s decision, though, the primary battle was shaping up top be between Pac-12 programs Stanford and Washington.

Buckeyes land five-star Okudah
SAN ANTONIO - Five-star defensive back Jeffrey Okudah has been an expected Ohio State commit for months but at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl he made things official and announced his commitment to the Buckeyes.
Okudah chose Ohio State over Florida State and Oklahoma but the decision wasn’t thought to be very close. After his official visit to Columbus for a thrilling overtime win against Michigan, friend and fellow five-star linebacker Baron Browning announced his commitment to the Buckeyes. UCLA lands five-star CB Darnay Holmes
SAN ANTONIO – Outside of No. 1 Najee Harris, no recruitment at this week’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl created as much intrigue as that of five-star defensive back Darnay Holmes out of Calabasas, Calif. On Saturday, Holmes ended the suspense, announcing his commitment to Ohio State during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
At the beginning of Army Bowl week Ohio State appeared to be the team with the most momentum for Holmes. As the week progressed, however, local programs USC and UCLA started to gain some of that momentum back as the appeal to play closer to home apparently grew.

Bolden announces for USC
SAN ANTONIO – The USC Trojans have a long history with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that grew Saturday when Rivals100 safety Bubba Bolden announced his intentions to join the Trojans during the game.
The four-star prospect out of Las Vegas’ Bishop Gorman High School had committed to USC during his junior year, but re-opened his recruitment prior to his senior season. After visiting Arizona State, Colorado and UCLA, he narrowed his focus down to USC and Ohio State. An official visit to Ohio State was taken in November, but he scheduled an official visit to USC for Jan. 13 before leaving for San Antonio.

Go Blue for four-star Filiaga
SAN ANTONIO — Michigan added a big piece to its 2017 class and offensive line with the commitment of Rivals250 offensive tackle Chuck Filiaga at the Army All-American Bowl on Saturday.
Filiaga’s opinion of Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh was what really drove him to commit to Michigan. The work that he and his staff put in was enough to overtake the likes of Nebraska and Oklahoma.

Sun Devils land four-star RB Eno Benjamin
SAN ANTONIO — Four-star Eno Benjamin committed to Arizona State at the Army All-American Bowl on Saturday. Benjamin was the highest-ranked uncommitted running back in the Rivals100 before making his announcement.
After decommitting from Iowa in the fall, ASU, Michigan and Utah were the final teams in the mix for Benjamin, who chose the Sun Devils because of fit and opportunity in the offense.

Beavers land four-star WR Jamire Calvin
SAN ANTONIO - After Jamire Calvin spent a week in San Antonio impressing with his receiving skills, he announced at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl that he’ll look to continue doing that for Oregon State.
Calvin was thought to have been considering Nebraska, in part because of Mike Riley’s success as former head coach of the Beavers, but Calvin chose to commit to the school and not the coach. In addition to Oregon State and Nebraska, Calvin was also considering Alabama, Notre Dame and Washington State.
