1. RAMS: QB JARED GOFF, CAL

FARRELL's TAKE: "I think Goff is the better of the two top quarterbacks in this draft. He's battle tested and I think his 1-11 freshman season really allowed him to mature and grow. He's a day one starter for the Rams who need a quarterback badly, but I think they gave up too much to move up to No. 1."

2. EAGLES: QB CARSON WENTZ, NORTH DAKOTA STATE

FARRELL's TAKE: "I think Wentz will take longer to impact that Goff and he's much more of a wildcard. He has a higher ceiling than Goff because he's bigger, faster and more athletic, but he's never played on a big stage. Like the Rams, I think the Eagles paid too much to move up to No. 2."

3. CHARGERS: DL JOEY BOSA, OHIO STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Chargers brought the first real intrigue of the draft, and picking Bosa was a stunner as I thought he could slide in this draft. I was sure the Chargers would go offensive tackle here. Bosa reminds me of Chris Long so I think he can be a good player but greatness depends on his consistency and motor."

4. COWBOYS: RB EZEKIEL ELLIOTT, OHIO STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Cowboys needed help in the defensive backfield but Ezekiel Elliott was too good to pass up. He's clearly the best running back in the draft, he's a three down guy and I love this pick for the Cowboys."

5. JAGUARS: DB JALEN RAMSEY, FLORIDA STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Jaguars are thrilled that Ramsey fell to them at No. 5. They need defensive back help and a guy who can change the game from the corner or safety position, and Ramsey is a freaky athlete."

6. RAVENS: RONNIE STANLEY, NOTRE DAME

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Ravens were always going to tackle here I believe but passing up on Laremy Tunsil for Ronnie Stanley is a huge risk to me. He's not an overly physical kid to me and I worry if he will be nasty enough to fit the mold of the Ravens."

7. 49ERS: DL DEFOREST BUCKNER, OREGON

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The 49ers have so many needs and could have gone in any direction. Buckner is their second Oregon first rounder in as many years and he's an amazing athlete, but he also has a high bust factor as well. I think they had to take the risk, however."

8. TITANS (VIA CLEVELAND): OL JACK CONKLIN, MICHIGAN STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "Tunsil was supposed to be the No. 1 pick in the draft and with the Titans trading back up you would have thought it would be him. This is a bit of a reach to me at No. 8 as athleticism is a big question but he is a nasty kid. But the Browns didn't want him so they are the winner here, adding more and more picks."

9. BEARS (VIA BUCCANEERS): DE/OLB LEONARD FLOYD, GEORGIA

FARRELL'S TAKE: "Chicago trades up to get ahead of the NY Giants to get the coveted pass rusher they wanted in Leonard Floyd. He's long and rangy and CAN get after the passer, but i worry about how he can handle the run being so skinny and not that strong. But this is exactly who the Bears wanted."

10. GIANTS: DB ELI APPLE, OHIO STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "I think the Giants wanted Floyd but the Bears jumped up ahead of them so landing an elite, big cornerback in Eli Apple is a nice rebound pick. I like this pick a lot because Vernon Hargreaves was the guy everyone coveted but I think he has bust written all over him. Apple is high character and he is physically gifted."

11. BUCCANEERS: DB VERNON HARGREAVES, FLORIDA

FARRELL'S TAKE: "Hargreaves was long rumored to the Bucs who need cornerback help and adding a local star can't hurt. I've been very vocal on how I think he's too small and won't tackle, but time will tell. There is no doubt he has great instincts and can lock down when focused."

12. SAINTS: DL SHELDON RANKINS, LOUISVILLE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Saints need help on defense and were either going to go with an end or an inside guy on the defensive line. Rankins is strong, he clogs the middle and he can push the pocket. It's a deep DT class to me but Rankins shoots the gap better than most."

13. DOLPHINS: OL LAREMY TUNSIL, OLE MISS

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Dolphins never expected Tunsil to fall this far and landing him is a home run as long as the off field issues aren't an issue. He's the most talented tackle in the draft and the Dolphins may have hit a home run here."

14. RAIDERS: S KARL JOSEPH, WEST VIRGINIA

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Raiders had some defensive needs for sure but really reached here for a safety at No. 14? Joseph is coming off an injury so there are concerns there and he's an undersized kid at his position. He could be a home run if he stays healthy, but this seems to be high for him."

15. BROWNS: WR COREY COLEMAN, BAYLOR

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Browns traded down twice and landed a ton of picks and come away with the best pure slot receiver in the draft. They filled a huge need at wide receiver here and I love Coleman's upside. Now the Browns just need a quarterback."

16. LIONS: OL TAYLOR DECKER, OHIO STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Lions coveted an offensive tackle and Decker is a good pick here. They would have liked to see Conklin fall to them but Decker could end up being even better. And yet another Ohio State first rounder."

17. FALCONS: DB KEANU NEAL, FLORIDA

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Falcons needed defensive help. I thought they would go Darron Lee, but Keanu Neal is a hard hitter and can make a difference in the middle of the field. It's a little high here for him but he will make the defense more physical."

18. COLTS: OL RYAN KELLY, ALABAMA

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Colts were clearly going to take an offensive lineman and Kelly was the guy rumored to be the pick here once it became clear Decker would be gone. Kelly could be Jeff Saturday to Andrew Luck's Peyton Manning."

19. BILLS: SHAQ LAWSON, CLEMSON

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Bills need defensive help and while Paxton Lynch was likely tempting, Shaq Lawson is a beast off the edge and a great value at No. 19."

20. JETS: LB DARRON LEE, OHIO STATE

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Jets were one of the teams wrapped in a cloud of mystery heading into the draft and decided to address the defense and land a linebacker many expected to be gone by pick No. 20. Great pick here as he's an elite athlete."

21. TEXANS: WR WILL FULLER, NOTRE DAME

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Texans traded up to get an offensive weapon to help Nuke Hopkins. they added some serious speed in Will Fuller, who can stretch the field and runs that 4.32 40. I think this is a home run pick."

22. REDSKINS: WR JOSH DOCTSON, TCU

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Redskins were thought to surely go defense here, especially defensive tackle, so taking Doctson is a stunner, but I love the pick. He has great body control, he high points the ball well and he can run better than expected."

23. VIKINGS: WR LAQUON TREADWELL, OLE MISS

Getty Images

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Vikings wanted to go wide receiver here to help Teddy Bridgewater and a sizable outside guy to go along with Stefon Diggs. Great value here for the Vikings as Treadwell was at one time a potential top-10 pick."

24. BENGALS: DB WILLIAM JACKSON, HOUSTON

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Bengals wanted to go wide receiver, but a run at the position led them to turn to defense. Jackson III is a speedy and talented kid who plays the ball well, but how physical is he and how does he fit into that nasty defense?"

25. STEELERS: DB ARTIE BURNS, MIAMI

FARRELL'S TAKE: "Burns is a kid I love and I think he could be the best cover corner after a few years. He has great ball skills, he's long and he can play the ball. He has a high bust factor but his ceiling is super high."

26. BRONCOS (VIA SEAHAWKS): QB PAXTON LYNCH, MEMPHIS

FARRELL'S TAKE: "Denver moved up for a reason and it was clearly to land a quarterback. Paxton Lynch isn't NFL ready yet, but in a couple years don't be shocked if he's better than Goff or Wentz."

27. PACKERS: DL KENNY CLARK, UCLA

FARRELL'S TAKE: "Clark is an athletic kid who can hold the line of scrimmage and is really good at shooting the gap and getting into the backfield. I expected them to take a linebacker and with Myles Jack and Reggie Ragland on the board this is a surprise, but remember BJ Raji retired so there is a need here."

28. 49ERS (VIA CHIEFS): OL JOSH GARNETT, STANFORD

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The 49ers moved into the first round for a second pick. many felt they would take a quarterback after Denver went on Lynch, thus killing any Kaepernick trade, or perhaps take Myles Jack. so taking Joshua Garnett is a bit of a surprise. He's a very good interior lineman and a good blocker, so he will shore up the run game."

29. CARDINALS: DL ROBERT NKEMDICHE, OLE MISS

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Cardinals take a huge risk on Nkemdiche, who underachieved in college despite so much talent. The former No. 1 overall recruit at Rivals, he has some off field issues and lacks effort at times so I don't see this working out that well."

30. PANTHERS: DL VERNON BUTLER, LOUISIANA TECH

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Panthers could have gone in many directions but with a defensive minded head coach and the need for another big body, Butler is not a stunner, as he had a late first/early second round grade. I was thinking more cornerback or offensive line but this is a good pick."

31. SEAHAWKS: OL GERMAIN IFEDI, TEXAS A&M

FARRELL'S TAKE: "The Seahawks took the best player on their board and it happens to be a position of need as Ifedi is a value pick late at offensive tackle. Yet another Texas A&M offensive lineman goes in round one, such an impressive run in recent years and a good pick."
