Little facing big decision

Durham (N.C.) Hillside athlete Greg Little will announce his college destination Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPNU. The choice comes down to Notre Dame and North Carolina in the end after Little missed his trip to Southern Cal this weekend. So who will it be?
"It's between Notre Dame and North Carolina," said Little, who also took an official visit to Ohio State and has an offer from Southern Cal. "This is the toughest decision of my life. It gets harder as it gets closer to the time to decide, but I can't go wrong with either."

Little was supposed to take one final visit, to Southern Cal this weekend, but missed the flight.
"It's not a big deal anyhow because Notre Dame and North Carolina were my favorites anyhow," he said. "One team is winning and the other isn't and Notre Dame is big-time, they are on a national stage and I've always dreamed of that. But I also want to be a difference maker and I could help UNC turn things around."
Little is also very interested in academics.
"I want to study Sports Management and I know UNC has a great program," he said. "I'm not sure about Notre Dame's program, but they obviously have great academics there so I'm sure they do."
Despite rumors regarding the job status of John Bunting and his staff, Little isn't worried.
"I think with the recruiting class they had last year and the one so far this year, they'll be there," he said. "My coach asked me a big question this weekend which got me to thinking. I have to figure out which school I'd be comfortable at regardless of the coaches and that's tough. Both schools are so good and I fit in well."
Will location play a factor?
"No, not at all," he said. "I'm an independent person so leaving home is not a problem at all."
Little has talked to each school's marquee quarterback commitment recently.
"I talk to Jimmy Clausen and Mike Paulus a lot," he said. "The quarterback is a big part of things for me and both guys I feel comfortable with."
Rumors have been flying from both sides that Little was either a silent commitment to Notre Dame or a recent commitment to UNC.
"I haven't committed to anyone," he said. "I'll probably make my decision a few hours before I announce it, that's how close it is. I wish I knew where I wanted to go."
Checking in with Little this morning following a good night's sleep, nothing has changed.
"I still don't know which one."
Little is ranked as the No. 6 athlete in the country by Rivals.com and is also ranked 6th in the state of North Carolina.
