List of schools growing for juco DE

North Dakota State College of Science defensive end Bobby Jones continues to add schools to the list of those recruiting him.
“The interest has jumped through the roof,” NDSCS assistant coach Mike Shafer said. “He has received mail from over 30 schools so far. The schools have either viewed the film or are in the process of viewing it.”

The list includes Oregon, Michigan State, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Southern California, Washington State, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Arizona State, and Mississippi.
“Bobby has received hand written letters from Oregon and Michigan State,” Shafer said of the South Dakota native. Oregon, Michigan State, Kansas State and Texas A&M have viewed the film and like what they see. The ones that are pursuing him the hardest right know are Oregon and Michigan State. They like his size and quickness.
“He has called them both and talked to the coaches about their programs. He is very excited. Oregon, Michigan State and Texas A&M are coming up to visit in April and May with the coaches about Bobby. Kansas State is also going to recruit him.”
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Jones does not have one school at the top of his list at this point.
“Bobby is not leaning towards anyone right now,” Shafer said. “He is open to every school that is showing interest in him.”
