Lipsey returns from Virginia visit

Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley offensive center Jordy Lipsey made his first visit this past weekend to the University of Virginia. He witnessed the Cavaliers' 34-21 upset victory over No. 22 South Carolina.
"The visit was fantastic," Lipsey said. "The coaches took me out to dinner, I hung out with the players, and then I went to the game. It was pretty cool."

Lipsey said his hosts during the visit were sophomore tight end Pat Estes and junior center Kevin Bailey. Lipsey has two more visits scheduled. He will visit Miami later this month on September 20th for their home date against Boston College and on October 11th he'll go out west and visit Stanford during the weekend they host Washington State. Jordy says he will take a fourth visit to Tennessee but he hasn't set an official date yet.
"I haven't really finalized the Tennessee visit," Lipsey said. "It's either going to be the Miami (Nov. 9) or Alabama (Oct. 25) game."
Those schools consist of Lipsey's final four and Virginia has moved to the top. But things could change after he takes more visits.
"I'm pretty open," Lipsey said. "I'm curious to see what the other schools are going to be like."
Lake Brantley High School opened up the season last week with a 42-25 win over Winter Springs. This week the Patriots will play Lyman.
Jordy Lipsey is rated the top center in the nation by Rivals.com, is a four-star rated prospect, and is considered the 15th best prospect in the State of Florida.
