Lineman will follow brothers footsteps

The Kansas Jayhawks have picked up their first known commitment of the 2005 recruiting season. They went back to familiar ground to land Jose Rodriguez.
Two years ago the Jayhawks landed Cesar Rodriguez and now he is expected to be a starter as a red-shirt freshman. Another Rodriguez plans on joining the Kansas program.
“I got to know Kansas coach Dave Doeren when he was recruiting my brother,” Jose said. “I committed to Kansas after thinking about it. My brother really likes it there.”

Colorado, Brigham Young, Arizona State, and Oregon State all showed interest in the 6-foot-6 prospect.
