Linebacker Slaughter adds two new offers

Missouri City (Texas) Elkins linebacker Blake Slaughter thought things were big when he got his first scholarship offer just weeks ago. He's even more thrilled when two more entered the mix just within the last few days.
Slaughter, the 5-foot-11, 214-pounder, received his first offer from Kansas State. Now, Oklahoma State and Rice have entered the mix. The talented Houston defender says that he's very interested in all three schools at this point.

"It just seems like everybody is hopping on board," Slaughter said. "Once you get the first one, they start coming in quick."
In a previous update, Slaughter says he was impressed with Kansas State after watching them in a bowl game this past year. He's also a fan of the Wildcats defense.
Oklahoma State and Rice have impressed him as well.
"Rice is a great institution for academics and that's a big part of the decision-making process for me," Slaughter said. "Oklahoma State, I know they have a really good engineering program. Also, Big 12 football, you can't beat that."
Stanford and Northwestern are two other schools that Slaughter says could be next with offers considering that each have been recruiting him very hard over the last several weeks.
He also has new visit plans.
"I'm definitely going to Stillwater for Oklahoma State's spring game on April 14," he said. "I'll also be going up to Kansas State on April 21 for their spring game as well."
