Linebacker not a Missouri lock

Most had listed Missouri as the leader for Florissant (Mo.) McCluer North three-star outside linebacker Stephen Davis, but he said that’s never been the case.
“I’ve never had a favorite,” Davis, who is 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, said. “I like Missouri sure, but I’ve never been leaning toward them or listed them as a favorite. All of the schools are really cool, and I like them.”

To further illustrate his point, Davis has lined up two official visits – to Northwestern on December 3 and Indiana on December 17. He will also visit Missouri and Wisconsin, and one of those two will likely get a visit on December 10.
“I’ve got offers from Missouri and Northwestern,” he said. “I think Wisconsin is really close, and I would be interested in that for sure.”
Missouri was the first team to offer him a scholarship back when the Tigers did this past summer.
Davis and his teammates are 8-1 on the season and he has racked up nine sacks. It looks like McCluer north will end up playing DeShon in the first round of the state playoffs. However, he knows that a title run must go through either Eureka or Summit.
“Those will probably be our two toughest opponents,” he said.
