Lindsey offered by in-state school

Palm Bay (Fla.) Bayside offensive tackle Robert Lindsey landed his first offer earlier this week.
"FIU offered me earlier this week," Lindsey said. "I talked to Coach (Mario) Cristobal and their offensive line coach (Alex Mirabal)."

The 6-foot-4, 263-pound lineman talked about what he heard from Coach Mirabal during their conversation.
"He said that I have the spark that they wanted," Lindsey said. "He told me that I would be a good fit for them. He then gave me the verbal offer."
Lindsey is familiar with Florida International, as he made his way down to their campus this past summer.
"I went down there last year for their offensive line camp," Lindsey said. "It was a nice facility. I liked the coaches. They were teaching good technique."
He intends to return to the campus in the near future.
"I am planning to go to the junior day on March 24th," Lindsey said.
The next time he visits the Golden Panthers, he has some questions for them.
"I want to talk to them about their majors and how I can help their team," Lindsey said.
Lindsey indicated he wants to study business management.
He also reports interest from Georgia Tech, Illinois State, Iowa State, and Nevada. He will take a visit to Nevada at the end of March. At this stage, he doesn't claim a leader.
