Lewis ready to decide
Decision day is approaching for Xavier Lewis.

The Reserve (La.) East St. John standout has been planning to announce his commitment at The Opening for awhile now, and he is ready to announce his choice.
Lewis has top four of LSU, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma State. He is not considering any other schools, and he has visited each of his top schools, with the exception of Arkansas, in the last few months.
As he prepares to make his decision he is not giving hints and is not claiming a leader. He also is not exactly sure when he will make his announcement.
"We don't have a date set," Lewis said.
One thing he does know is he is ready to make his choice, and there are a few reasons.
"You know I can focus on the season and get the recruiting process out of the way and know where I'm going," Lewis said. "I'm going to be a mid-term."
He also has not discounted the possibility of taking some of his official visits in the fall.
"If the university I commit to lets me I will," Lewis said.
Lewis is a four-star prospect and currently ranked No. 237 in the Rivals250. He is the nation's No. 25 ranked cornerback by Rivals.com and he is ranked No. 10 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Preseason Top 50.
