Lewis likes the Big Ten

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Snider running back Miquale Lewis had a fine sophomore year, rushing for 970 yards and scoring 16 touchdowns. He came back as a junior and was even better.
The 5-foot-6, 180 pound Lewis gained 1330 yards, averaged 11.3 per carry, and scored 29 times. For his work Lewis was named all-conference and all-state.

And while Lewis does not have prototype Division I size, recruiters from major college programs are showing interest.
"I get mail from Northwestern, Purdue, Ball State, and Indiana," Lewis said. "That's about it so far.
"I went to a junior day at Northwestern. It was great. The campus is nice. They have a nice stadium. I liked their coaching staff.
"I'll visit a few more schools this summer, like Purdue and Indiana.
"Purdue is my favorite school. I like their coaching staff. And I like the Big Ten."
