Lewis likes ASU offense

Joseph Lewis went out to Arizona State last weekend to enjoy himself and get a feel for the campus but also to check out the offense and see if he could fit.
The 2017 four-star receiver from Los Angeles Augustus Hawkins had a great time - and loved what he saw from the Sun Devils' offense.

"They loved it," Hawkins coach Malik James said. "They went up there and of course they wanted to see a good game. They went up there to look for what they needed to look for.
"Joseph wanted to see how much they were throwing the ball. They had 44 attempts and he wanted to see how many times they were targeting individual receivers. They seemed to spread the ball around well. He was happy."
Fellow 2017 four-star Greg Johnson and 2018 stud receiver Jalen Hall missed the trip but Lewis was joined by 2017 three-star Dylan Lemle and 2018 recruit Marcus Johnson in Tempe.
Lemle, who already has an offer from Utah, can play some quarterback or wide receiver and believes he would fit in well in Arizona State's offense.
For Johnson, it's still early so he was just getting out to ASU for a look.
"Dylan understands the system so he actually thinks he could play some quarterback or receiver and Marcus is going with everything right now because he's new to the recruitment," James said.
"He's big on playing with his brother (Greg Johnson) so we're trying to figure all that out right now.
"They just started with Marcus. They're not going to push for too many 2018 kids unless you camped with them. Washington is recruiting Marcus the hardest right now."
As for new interest, Lewis, Hall and Greg Johnson are hearing from Nebraska, Florida, Florida State, Duke, Michigan State and Texas Tech more often.
