Lewis knows one Pac-10 trip

Ten offers is the count but Fresno (Calif.) weakside defensive end Chris Lewis is the type of player that looks to keep pushing his total up as the season progresses.
Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon, UCLA, Fresno State, TCU, Boise State, and others are on that scholarship list of Lewis. The 6-foot-2, 237-pound three-star rated prospect is feeling recruiting process slow down just a little bit, but expects it to pick back up again in the fall.

"The summer went on and things calmed down," Lews said. "It's real nice to have all the offers though and be able to pick and choose. I'll get to see a lot of great stuff depending on where I take my official visits."
One team is a lock and that is the Pac-10 team to the North.
"Oregon is for sure a visit," Lewis said. "I've heard so much about their campus and the facilities so I just want to get up there and check all that out. I've been to Oregon in general before, but never been to the campus to actually see the school."
Lewis explained that his decision will come after all visits have been taken. Because of that, the No. 9 weakside defensive end wants to make sure his officials are far away.
"I can see the in-state schools on unofficial trips," Lewis said. "So my plan is to take all of my visits out of the state."
The great family support system in the household of Lewis is what he'll be relying on to make what already looks to be a tough decision that has numerous options.
"Once I get it down to five teams, my family and I will decide what the best place is for me," Lewis said. "They don't push me in any direction but just want me to make a decision on my own that's good for me. We'll weigh out the pros and cons and whichever has the most pros, we'll pick it."
