Lewis has slight change of plans

Anthony Lewis was supposed to visit Boise State last weekend but because the Broncos are playing Utah on Wednesday in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas the Salt Lake City (Utah) Cottonwood prospect had to reschedule.
The tough part for Lewis, a 6-foot, 203-pound three-star outside linebacker, is that if Boise State offers he'll probably commit but other schools are waiting on him, too. Pushing his decision timetable to January now is difficult but that's what Lewis is probably planning to do.

"Because their bowl game is on the 22nd I wasn't able to go out there this weekend," Lewis said. "I'm going in January for sure and then anything new in my recruiting after the bowl game we'll go from there.
"That pushes my decision back until January so I'm not sure what I'm going to do from now on. That makes it really hard."
If Boise State didn't work out, Lewis had planned to commit to Wyoming but now with Utah State pushing really hard and Utah talking more to him Lewis said he's undecided on what the future holds.
Utah State is the newest program involved and since it hadn't been talking to him for a long time Lewis has not done much research on the program but that has now changed. He's learning more about Utah State and will strongly consider it while he still thinks about that trip to Boise State.
"I've recently been talking to Utah State heavily," Lewis said. "They have another offer for their linebackers and they said I'm the only one in the state that they want. It's a good thing for them.
"It's still Wyoming but I'm going to keep my options open now. I hadn't looked at Utah State much because I didn't think I had a chance so I'm still looking."
