Lewis close to commitment

Anthony Lewis plans to visit Boise State the weekend of Dec. 17 and if everything goes well and the Broncos offer then the Salt Lake City (Utah) Cottonwood outside linebacker plans to make his commitment.
"They gave me my confirmation this week and I'm going on my visit soon," Lewis said. "That's the only thing I'm waiting for. I'm going to go on my visit and if I like it I think that's where I'm going to go.

"They're waiting to bring me down (to offer). I think when I visit I think they will. They've been talking highly about it."
Lewis is a 6-foot, 203-pound three-star outside linebacker who has offers from Oregon State, Washington State and Wyoming but said that Boise State has everything he's looking for and will end up there if he's offered.
If not, Lewis expects to commit to Wyoming. Rivals.com rates the Cottonwood standout as the No. 59 outside linebacker nationally and the No. 12 recruit in the Utah state rankings.
"I like that their engineering program is top 25 in the country and you can't beat that," Lewis said.
"The football program is amazing. They want me to play nickel 'backer so I don't have to be the 230-pound linebacker I thought I was going to have to be. I can continue to play with the speed and size I am now and just get faster. It's a perfect place. This is what I've been looking for."
